I use my Great Engineer to hurry the Production of The Colossus at Rabat. At Gao I upgade a Warrior to a Swordsman. I should have done that much earlier but I forgot....

780 BC: The Colossus is completed at Rabat and gives a couple of perks - one is an additional Trade Route complete with Cargo Ship. I choose the Venetian Port of Ragusa :)

780 BC: I have noticed that Ethiopia and The Zulus are at war so I decide that it is a convenient time to capture Heliopolis without interference from my southern neighbours, Ramesses is peeved!

The City is bombarded by two Catapults and 2 Bowmen then a Swordsman assaults

Unfortunately the defenders prevail...I attack an Egyptian Warrior NE of Thebes causing heavy losses. Heliopolis should fall next turn.

I move another Catapult forward ending my turn.
770 BC: The Egyption attack my Swordsman, almost destroying it...
A Bowman receives a Promotion then the Barrage continues

One Catapult bombardment is enough then I storm the City with my Swordsman.
I annex the City, rename it Agadez and start building a Courthouse.

My Bowmen E of Agadez bombard two Egyptian Warriors while my weakened Spearman withdraws out of harms way. All three of the enemy Warriors are badly damaged.

The troops not used conquering Heliopolis are moved eastwards nearer to Thebes.
That finishes this post and I can say mission accomplished! :)
