Building the Bridge (II) - 1205 AD to 1210 AD

The first round went well and the counter-attack didn't sink anything although something unexpected did happen. First however we have to hear a comment from our Arab neighbour. Also a worker needs a mission too...

Those enemy ships passed through my lines! I didn't know that was possible. As a reward one Galleass was sunk by the Benghasi Garrison and a Composite Bowman on Cyprus.

My Composite Bowman which is North of Constantinople is moved one hex forward to be within barrage-range of the city. My badly damaged Galleass receives replacements bringing it almost up to full-strength.

Constantinople is again bombarded three times from my Galleass warships.

I've received a Great Admiral in Carthage and I move it to Benghasi, nearer to the action.
The two Trebuchets on Crete are required to sink the second enemy Galleass.

A fourth Galleass is moved into the vacant hex. A Musketman is also moved nearer to the enemy coast. It can in fact land on the hex West of Constantinople. End of my turn - round 2.
The Situation around Samarkand looks dangerous. There is now a Siamese Elephant unit there as well as a Russian Musketman.
1210 AD: Round 3 begins  with my Bowman being promoted.
The Bowman from Brest-Litovsk opens the bombardment of Constantinople.
My Galleass which was hit hardest is moved out of the immediate battle area.
A fresh Galleass is moved in and bombards the city.
Three more Galleass warships add their bombardment. We are slowly wearing down the city's defences.

There is still other work to be done: a Farm near Rabat....
....a Musketman is moved nearer to the southern border.
A Caravel battles a Pirate Trireme near the Falkland Islands.
My Musketeer disembarks adjacent to Constantinople. The city's fate seems to be sealed next turn.
Next I have to take care of Production....

....and I can choose a new Social Policy. I choose Naval Tradition because I receive +1 Happiness for each Harbour, Seaport or Lighthouse.
I've moved a Trebuchet and a Cavalry unit within disembarkment range. I also check my Faith point status.
The front at the end of Round 3 and this post. I don't think Constantinople will survive another round of combat...until next time :)
