Exploration and Consolidation - 1135 AD to 1160 AD

New nations are being discovered on the other side of the Atlantic while at home recent gains are being consolidated within the Empire. We have been denounced by every nation except The Huns but no nation or coalition has dared to declare war on us. How far can we push the world community? Will Constantinople be the final straw?

Meanwhile our Caravel has met another American City-State called Tenochtitlan - I'm glad that our capital is called Gao.

I plot courses for the two embarked Pikemen. Their destinations are both hexes with Ancient Ruins.

Sooo, Adwa's border has expanded in the Northeast - I've been pushed back one hex.
We sell some Ivory to Darius....
....Venice declares war on China....

....and we meet another American Nation.
1140 AD: Japan has also declared war on China....
....and my third Caravel makes if further down the coast of Africa - how far does it go and how big is the Zulu Nation?
We meet anothe Nation called Tikal and discover a Natural Wonder which gives a Happiness Point - thank you :)

Another Caravel is now exploring NW Europe.
Ethiopia and India declare war on The Huns.
1145 AD: I renew my Trade Route with Ragusa....
....and I convert Riga to Judaism.
I move my Spy from Russia to India.
Now Germany and Siam declare war on Attila...
1150 AD: I've decided to move my Caravan from Rabat to Gao. I also receive a new Composite Bowman in Rabat.

North of Brest-Litovsk I start chopping down another Forest. The Courthouse will be completed next turn - good!
A Settler will be built in Rabat and NW Africa at the end of my turn....

1155 AD: That should Keep Elizabeth happy for a while :)
I establish a new Trade Route from Gao to Memphis, (Palestine).
Keeping a Worker busy....
....and we bump into Cuzco.
My two Pikemen are nearing their destinations.
1160 AD: A Brest-Litovsk I purchase some land and add troops to the Production Queue.

That ends this post. Note that my Happiness Level is now +17 - Campaigning time, folks!
Until next time :)
