Building the Bridge (III) - 1215 AD

The battle is progressing well - let's bring it to a successful conclusion. There are a few other things to take care of first....

Attila seems to have a serious problem in Central Asia...
In the South Atlantic my Caravel receives replacements then we annihilate the Barbarian Trireme!

Another Settler has been produced and I move it to the Dakar area.
The final battle begins. Four bombardments from warships then one from my Composite Bowman and Constantinople is ready to storm.

My Musketman delivers the assault and Constantinople is ours :)

I decide to try some diplomacy with Bismarck - let's see if he later remembers my generosity!

I annex the City at a cost of 11 Unhappiness Points and start building a Courthouse.

I've also captured the Great Lighthouse - very good for my Navy :)
The City will be useless for 6 turns....
I spend 720 Gold to widen the 'bridge'.
Other duties again - a Workshop will be useful in Thebes.
I now have 5 of the original Capitals :)
My statistics are phenomenal - my Approval Rating is the worst with 93% !

I also have plenty of resources which can be exported.
The situation at the end of the campaign.
Time to reorganize my forces to meet the new requirements.

Elizabeth appears to disapprove of my actions -  still guarded not hostile!
I good trade with Attila....
....followed by Japan and Arabia who share Elizabeth's opinion.

Finally a view of the battlefield around Samarkand.
That's all for this post. We captured Constantinople and the Great Lighthouse with a single unit being killed and we achieved our goal - a land bridge to Eastern Europe with Brest-Litovsk. Time to celebrate :)
