The New World - 1120 AD to 1130 AD

I now have three Caravels for long-distance exploration and land has been sighted. My Happiness Level is still much too low, +3, but I'm working on it. I give my newest Caravel a course to Dakar.

The next and final stop for my Great Prophet is Riga.

I commence building a road from Addis Ababa to Zanzibar.

My first glimpse of W. Europe and the British Isles....

....and the New World. I have found two Ancient Ruins so far and I shall send a couple of Pikemen to investigate.

Said, done - two Pikemen are now in the water.

The Trebuchet is wasted there so I order it back to the mainland.

1125 AD: Oops, I forgot to keep Riga funded as an Ally so I have to fix it. The red symbols to the right can now be ignored.

I renew my Trade Route to Mecca....

....and start building a road around the lake - for purely military purposes.

I plot a course to the New World for one of the Pikeman,

My Trebuchet is where I want it to be and check to see that Adwa is within its Zone of Fire.

I tried to get 4 Gold but Boney didn't appreciate it so in the end I accepted a lousy 3 Gold per turn.

I station a Galleass as near as possible to Constantinople and find no ground troops in the vicinity!

Looks like Genghis Khan has a few problems....

1130 AD: Another lousy deal....

....and we meet the first native American City-State.

Another Pikeman arrives and it is promoted.

Now we meet Reykjavik to the Northwest of England....

....and renew my Trade Route to Lisbon.

I decide to send the Bowman from Carthage to the island of Corse and bring the Cavalry from Corse back to the mainland.

My Worker in Spain has nothing more to do so I put it to sleep :)

I start building a Trading Post near to Rabat....

....and build another section of road from Kisangani.

We have named this Florida...

The Eastern Mediterranean at the end of my turn and this post. I now have 7 Happiness Points but still not enough to embark on a campaign against Theodora.
