Anno Domini - 1 AD to 170 AD

We start with Haile Selassie of Ethiopia and Shaka of the Zulus - they have finally ended their war. I might have to worry about them turning their attention towards my Realm.....
....Shaka declares war on Portugal - he doesn't seem to like peace.
10 AD: I decide to increase my influence with Samarkand - the Porcelain resource is a Luxury item that I don't have. More construction and I see that Ethiopia has also gone to war again - Egypt!

20 AD: I renew my Trade Route to Lisbon and sign an Open Borders agreement with Persia.

30 AD: I start building a Mud Pyramid Mosque at Carthage and I choose Legalism for my next Social Policy. It gives me a free Mud Pyramid Mosque in my first four cities :) Finally I move Samarkand to Ally status. I now have +18 Happiness points!

50 AD: I found my 5th City since the war ended - call it Sudan and I start building a Monument. It's in a great location astride Ethiopia's two northern cities. I also renew my shipping Trade Route to Ragusa. This will be my last new city for the moment.

60 AD: The Lighthouse in Rabat has been completed and I now order a Mint to be built. In Gao I have accumulated enough Faith points to purchase a Missionary.

I pay another 500 Gold to retain Riga as an Ally - I love those 12 Happiness points.
90 AD: Theology has been researched and I choose Civil Service next - Farms become more productive and it leads to Chivalry - I want that :) After converting Agadez to Judaism my Missionary moves to Benghasi and does the same there.

More construction and I renew my Trade Route to Harar, Ethiopia. Let's stay friends....

140 AD: Another Trade Route is confirmed and I add more buildings to 3 Production Queues. I really must think about building some more combat units. I have 50% more cities but only one new military unit. Not good enough...

160 AD: I commence building a Farm W of Sudan and next turn the city receives its second Citizen.

I finish this post with my Statistics - with 429 VP's I am leading the pack.  My Approval Rating is 99% and I am 18th!!! So I'm not too concerned there. Looking pretty good :)
