The Battle of Harar - 675 AD to 680 AD

Haile Selassie denounced me twice, mocked me twice and back-stabbed me. Now it's time to teach him and his pocket-realm a lesson. We open the battle with three Trebuchets barraging Harar.

Then I assault the city with a Pikeman followed by a Longswordsman but Harar holds on....

....I then send in a Horseman but it almost got trashed - silly move!
....the front at the end of my turn.
The Ethiopians finish off my Horseman and damages one of my Trebuchets, Genghis Khan has a silly comment. I'm busy, you moron!

680 AD: Only one Trebuchet and a Longswordsman are needed and....

....Harar falls. Wow! 459 Gold captured. I annex the city, rename it Chad, start building a Courthouse and maximize growth.

Next I attack two of his Swordsmen three times, winning all three battles, and place my Pikeman in repair mode.

I upgrade another Catapult to a Trebuchet and finish my turn.

Haile Selassie makes peace with Shaka - he realizes that I am the greater threat. His badly mauled Swordsman receives replacements and threatens one of my Trebuchets. The other three Swordsmen withdraw. The battle is won and I gain Chad for the (unneccessary) loss of a Horseman.
That's all for this post. Until next time :)
